Chappy Bradner has been an innovator and leader in human resources, organizational and cultural change, leadership development, merger integration, and coaching. Throughout his career of over 35 years, he has designed and implemented such efforts across both financial and professional services organizations. He recently retired after 25+ years as a Director with Deloitte and formed his own firm, Bradner Executive Coaching and Leadership Development.
Early in his career Chappy was involved in the acquisition of smaller professional service firms. Cultural integration and the retention of human capital was his particular focus. This effort resulted in significant contributions regarding the integration of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and Touche Ross, including an integration design for every office in the new Firm – Deloitte. One of his efforts at Deloitte was the creation and subsequent leadership of that Firm’s nationally recognized executive coaching program. This program’s success was dependent upon close alignment with business strategy, ownership by Firm leadership, and the selection and management of highly respected executive coaches with proven track records and a real business orientation. An orchestrated outcome of this effort was the creation of a culture throughout the organization that both values and insists upon effective coaching by those in leadership positions.
A particular interest throughout his career has been the challenges that some high talent individuals face regarding substance abuse. This interest resulted in the design of an intervention and support process that was ahead of its time.
Chappy has not only led an executive coaching program, but has worked as an executive coach for much of his career. His particular focus has been with senior executives and their leadership teams. These engagements have involved executive integration, strategic design and alignment, assessment and feedback, leadership and team development and executive transition.
